Fall Family Recipe Contest
1) Submit your favorite family recipe to share on our website.
2) We are happy to sample any dishes brought in and add comments to the website! Haha!
3) Each entry will receive a copy of The Braces Cookbook by Pamela and Brenda Waterman (while supplies last, so get your recipes in fast). You can preview some of the book's recipes online at www.bracescookbook.com.
4) Entry submissions will be accepted between October 1st and December 17th. A random entry will be chosen to receive a gift certificate to Fry's Food to help prepare your family's favorite recipes!
Our recipe contest winner is...
Hot Pizza Dip
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese softened
1 tsp. Italian seasoning mix
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
8 oz pizza sauce
1/4 cup diced green pepper, onions or chopped olives
toasted baguette slices
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cream cheese and Italian seasoning. Then combine mozzerella and parmesan cheeses. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella over cream cheese mixture. Top with pizza sauce, spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella mix. Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until bubbly. Top with bell pepper. Serve with toasted baguette.

Rice Dish
1 can beef comsumme soup
1 can french onion soup
2 cups long grain rice
1 stick of butter
Combine all ingredients in oven safe dish. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

All Natural Ice Cream
Freeze 1 to 3 bananas
Add one or more of: strawberry jam, blueberries, mango, cocoa powder
Place in blender or food processor, blend until smooth.

Pumpkin Bread
3 1/2 cups flour
3 cups sugar
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
Make hole in dry mixture and add:
1 cup mazola oil
4 eggs
2/3 cup water
Mix, then add 2 cups pumpkin (1 can)
Bake 350 degrees for 45 mins. Makes 3 to 5 loaves.
