In this edition of the Friday Focus, Dr. O El-Hillal from Bullmoose Orthodontics, your Chandler Orthodontist, discusses the final step in your active orthodontic treatment.
Welcome back to Friday Focus. My name is Dr. O and today we will discuss what happens when your braces are removed. In our office, removing braces is called a “debond” appointment. We literally remove the brackets from your teeth as the final step in your active orthodontic treatment.
Whenever we perform a debond at Bullmoose Orthodontics, we make it a celebration. We play music, dance and have special gifts for our patients. It’s the perfect time to celebrate your broad, new, beautiful smile.
In most cases, the appointment takes approximately 90 minutes. During that time we will remove the brackets, check your bite, clean your teeth and discuss the importance of oral hygiene. We’ll also talk about your retainer and how to wear it make sure your teeth remain in their new, perfectly aligned position.
On a final note, I also want to erase any fears you may have when the time comes to remove your braces. Debond is a pain-free experience. It is the final step of your active orthodontic treatment.
I hope you have enjoyed this video.
See you next week!
